VALENTINE'S DAY

Valentine's Day is a full celebration
of that which enriches the heart.
Our feelings of tender affection and love
too often we fail to impart
To sweethearts and lovers, to spouses and mates,
to those who have made our lives glad.
So we pause to acknowledge the role that their love
has played in the joy that we've had.

But love is not human emotion alone,
it's the Spirit of God in expression.
And this is the characteristic of love
which insures its most lasting impression.
For love is divinity coming to earth
in the form of our feelings for others.
It's the tie that unites us to family and friends
and reminds us that all men are brothers.

The focus, however, on Valentine's Day
is the ardent emotion we feel
For one special someone we love more than life,
who embodies our highest ideal.
So yes! Buy them candy, and flowers as well,
and give them your heart and your soul.
But don't forget honor, commitment, and trust,
for without them your love is not whole.

Honor will elevate love to a status
that passion might only conceal,
For honor will never profess a commitment
or feeling that may be unreal.
So give to your loved one that honor and trust,
or love may be lust in disguise.
Let's celebrate Valentine's Day from the heart,
with true love and romance the prize.
