A Trollop Came Trolling

In the calm metaphysical waters
of an inlet in Orange County Bay,
A trollop came trolling to garner a whale,
but she wanted a Sperm not a Gray.

She netted a Gray in a nearby lagoon
on a previous expedition.
But he failed to give her the calf she desired
which left her in desperate condition.

So she trolled on in ardor, with harpoon and net,
and used her own body for bait;
But the Sperm is a fairly monogamous brute
and is loathe to abandon its mate.

The trollop, however, was patient and cunning,
and skilled in pursuing her quest.
Though Sperms may be loathe to abandon their mates,
she baited her hook for the test.

A Sperm can be harpooned or netted,
and many have shared in that fate.
But the sperm that the trollop eventually hooked
was simply seduced by the bait.
