Motes, Beams, and Childhood Dreams

A child’s heart was damaged, maybe beyond repair. And she learned to hide the ugly wound as it festered with guilt and despair. She tried every way that she knew to be normal, to love and be loved in return. But the self-loathing hatred she carried inside was something she couldn't unlearn. It saturates all of her moments and days, and she fears she will never be good. So she plans and manipulates, schemes and connives to make things appear as they should. But outward appearances only deceive, and deception is fatal to good. She figures out many disguises. She wears certain masks to deceive. But the one she prefers is called ‘victim and perp.’ And she wears it to make us believe that God has abandoned her, left her alone, permitting her life to be ruined. But if she's a victim and daddy's a perp, she's left with no balm for her wound. No treatment can heal while masks still conceal the lesson of motes and of beams. But if you can pluck out the mote of the victim the beam of the perp is not what it seems. And Christ, Truth brings healing to childhood dreams.
